The Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network (MAIN) and USBands are excited to welcome 100 color guards to the state-of-the-art PPL Center in Allentown, PA on Saturday and Sunday, April 23 & 24 for the 2022 MAIN Championships marking the largest Championship event in MAIN’s history.
Two days of exciting competition will be held at the PPL Center as over 2,000 performers will take to the floor for their Championship experience in a world-class setting, while fans and spectators enjoy the performances with all of the amenities associated with the finest arenas in the nation including comfortable seating, wide varieties of food and drinks, convenient parking, wifi, digital screens and more.
PPL Center is a multipurpose arena which opened in 2014 in downtown Allentown, PA and is home of the AHL Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The arena seats more than 10,000 for concerts and more than 8,500 for sporting events, making it the region’s largest events venue. The amenities-packed PPL Center hosts more than 150 events each year, and is a cornerstone of the billion dollar revitalization of Downtown Allentown. The PPL Center is adjacent to many popular attractions including the restaurants and retail area of the Allentown Arts Walk and surrounding Allentown community.
Matt Hurley, member of MAIN’s Executive Board said in announcing the Championships at the PPL Center, “After touring the facility, we knew that the PPL Center would provide exactly the type of setting our performers deserve, while allowing for an excellent experience for our fans. Beyond the performer and spectator experience, the size and design of the arena allows for social distancing and to adequately address COVID unlike many of the smaller venues in the region.”
Performance opportunities at the 2022 Championships are limited based on MAIN participation policies, but more information on being part of this exciting event is available by emailing [email protected]. Tickets for the 2022 MAIN Championships will be available beginning later this season.
