We are so excited that the time has arrived for the first ever MAIN Virtual Solo Competition! Please pass this information on to your performers and their parents so that if they would like to participate they have all the details. The categories are: Flag, Rifle, Sabre, Dance, or Combo (3 out of 4 categories. Performance Length: 1 minute 30 seconds – 2 minutes max (1 minute for JR/MS) Cost: $15 per entry Students may submit performances in multiple categories. The Division is determined by the class in which the performer’s unit competes: If your unit competes in the JR or MS classes in MAIN, you will select from the “MAIN JH” categories. If your unit competes in a Scholastic class in MAIN, you will select from the “MAIN HS” categories. If your unit competes in an Independent class in MAIN, you will select from the “MAIN Independent” categories (if you are a HS student who is a member of an independent color guard, you will enter the Independent Division). ***Note: you will need to submit a LINK to a video file (not upload the actual file). YouTube may block certain musical selections so we suggest you upload your file to Google Drive or DropBox and create a shareable link to your file. Make sure your settings are changed to “anyone with the link can view” and NOT set to PRIVATE. The entry window for video uploads is Sun. May 3rd – Mon. May 4th. Following that, our adjudicators will have several days to judge and tally the scores before we announce the winners. Keep an eye on the MAIN FB page and your email for details on when the big announcement will be happening. We’ll also be featuring some of your performances and sharing them with our community so we can all celebrate your success. We’d love to see as many of our units represented as possible!
